Policy
Please read this policy carefully before booking your appointment. These guidelines are in place to protect your appointment time, ensure a calm and professional experience, and help achieve the best possible healed result.
The studio is open by appointment only. All appointments must be booked in advance through the online booking system.
Arrival
Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. Each appointment is carefully allocated to allow enough time for consultation, skin assessment, preparation, treatment and aftercare instructions.
Please arrive with clean skin and no makeup on or around the treatment area. This allows your natural skin tone, undertone, skin texture and any existing pigment to be properly assessed before treatment.
If extra time is required to remove makeup, this may reduce the time available for your treatment. In some cases, the appointment may need to be shortened or rescheduled.
Lateness
Please familiarise yourself with the studio location before your appointment and allow enough time for parking and arrival.
If you arrive late, it may not be possible to extend your appointment time, as this can affect the next client. If your treatment needs to be shortened due to late arrival, the full treatment fee will still apply.
If you arrive 20 minutes or more after your scheduled appointment time, your appointment may be cancelled and your deposit may be forfeited.
Booking Deposit
A booking deposit is required to secure and confirm all appointments. This deposit is credited toward the total cost of your treatment on the day of your appointment.
Your appointment time is reserved especially for you. The deposit helps cover the time allocated, preparation, administration and loss of availability if the appointment is cancelled or changed at short notice.
Booking deposits are non-refundable if the appointment is cancelled, missed, or rescheduled outside the required notice period.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
We reserve a private treatment room and professional appointment time for every client. Many appointments require several hours, and last-minute changes are often difficult to fill.
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. With adequate notice, your deposit may be transferred to a new appointment date once, subject to availability.
If you reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, cancel your appointment, or do not attend, your deposit will be forfeited. A new deposit will be required to book another appointment.
No-Show Policy
- If you do not attend your appointment without notice, your booking deposit will be forfeited.
- If you miss a complimentary touch-up appointment, a $50 deposit will be required to schedule another session, subject to availability.
- Repeated no-shows may result in future bookings being declined.
Touch-Ups
If a complimentary touch-up is included with your treatment, it must be scheduled no sooner than 4 weeks and no later than 8 weeks after your first session, unless advised otherwise.
Complimentary touch-ups are subject to availability and are only available within the stated timeframe. If the touch-up is booked outside this period, missed, or rescheduled with short notice, a fee may apply.
A complimentary touch-up may not be offered if aftercare instructions were not followed, if the treated area was picked, damaged, exposed to excessive sun, or affected by products or treatments that compromised the healing process.
Existing Cosmetic Tattoos
Correction work over another artist’s cosmetic tattoo is assessed on a case-by-case basis. Previous pigment, colour, depth, saturation, shape and skin condition can all affect what is possible.
If you have previous eyebrow, lip, eyeliner, scalp or camouflage tattooing, please email clear photos for assessment before booking your appointment.
In some cases, removal or colour correction may be recommended before new tattooing can be performed.
Treatment Suitability
Not every client, skin type or skin condition is suitable for cosmetic or medical tattooing. A consultation and skin assessment may be required before treatment.
We reserve the right to decline or postpone treatment if the skin is not suitable, if there are contraindications, if expectations are unrealistic, or if proceeding may compromise the client’s safety or healed result.
If treatment cannot proceed on the day due to undisclosed medical information, unsuitable skin condition, active irritation, infection, recent procedures, or contraindications, the appointment may need to be rescheduled and the deposit may be forfeited.
Healed Results
Cosmetic and medical tattooing results vary from person to person. Healed results depend on skin type, skin condition, previous pigment, lifestyle, aftercare, medication, immune response, sun exposure and individual healing.
No healed result can be guaranteed. All treatments are performed with the aim of achieving the softest, most natural-looking result possible for your skin.
Some treatments require more than one session to achieve the best healed result. This is especially common with cosmetic tattooing, scalp micropigmentation, scar camouflage, dark circles camouflage and tattoo removal.
Aftercare Responsibility
Aftercare is an essential part of the treatment process. You will be provided with aftercare instructions specific to your procedure.
It is the client’s responsibility to follow these instructions carefully. Poor aftercare, picking, rubbing, sun exposure, makeup, active skincare, swimming, sweating, or other treatments during the healing period may affect the final result.
If the healed result has been compromised due to aftercare not being followed, additional sessions may be charged separately.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.
Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash, either in part or in full.
Voucher credit may be transferred to another person by written request. The original expiry date will still apply.
Gift vouchers must be used before the expiry date stated on the voucher. Any remaining unused balance after the expiry date will no longer be redeemable.
Payment Options for Insurance-Covered Treatments
1. Upfront Payment by Insurance
An invoice can be issued for the scheduled treatment. Your insurance provider is expected to process the payment before your appointment.
If payment has not been received by the appointment time, the session may need to be rescheduled.
If the appointment is rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice, your deposit may be transferred to your new appointment date. If the appointment is rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice, the deposit may be forfeited and a new deposit may be required to rebook.
2. Client Payment with Reimbursement
You may choose to pay for the treatment on the day of your appointment. An invoice will be provided so you can submit it to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed and remains the responsibility of the insurance provider or funding body.
Refunds
Booking deposits are non-refundable if the appointment is cancelled, missed, or rescheduled outside the required notice period.
Payments for completed treatments are non-refundable. Cosmetic and medical tattooing results vary between clients, and healed results cannot be guaranteed.
If there is a concern after your treatment, please contact the studio so the result can be reviewed and discussed professionally.
This policy does not limit your rights under New Zealand consumer law.
Client Behaviour Policy & Right to Refuse Service
We are committed to providing a safe, respectful and professional environment for all clients.
We reserve the right to decline, pause or discontinue service if a client displays abusive, aggressive, disrespectful or disruptive behaviour, repeatedly pushes professional boundaries, or refuses to follow treatment guidelines.
Our goal is always to provide the best possible result in a calm, supportive and collaborative setting. If this professional relationship becomes compromised, we may respectfully decline future appointments.
Communication
For appointment changes, treatment questions or important information before your booking, please contact the studio in writing.
Written communication helps ensure that all details are clear, especially for treatment suitability, previous tattoo work, medical considerations, insurance documents and appointment changes.
Messages may not always be answered immediately during treatment hours, as full attention is given to clients in the studio.
Final Note
By booking an appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to this Booking & Treatment Policy.
These policies are designed to protect your appointment time, your safety, the quality of your treatment, and the professional environment of the studio.
